INTERNAL AUDIT MANAGER

Role:

• Manage and supervise audit activities to enhance management control over inventory, cash and other assets and to ensure compliance with systems and procedures in a multi location FMCG environment.

Functions:

• Design and execute audit programmes in liaison with the Group Audit Manager
• Supervise and manage audit staff
• Supervise audit activities at operating locations including stock take attendances, random cash counts and compliance transaction testing
• Prepare reports for the Group Audit Manager and Board of Management to assist in control of inventories and cash and maintain the integrity of systems and procedures
• Continuous evaluation of systems and procedures and internal controls
• Ad hoc duties and investigations as required

Attributes:

• Experience in audit and recording of computerized administration, accounting and inventory systems and procedures
• Knowledge of detailed management controls and audit procedures for inventories and cash handling in a wholesale and retail environment
• Willingness to intervene at a detailed transactional level where necessary
• An ability to gather, analyze and evaluate facts and to prepare and present concise oral and written reports
• Experience in forensic accounting would be highly regarded
• Certified Public Accountant or similar qualification recognized by PNGCPA
• Male applicants preferred.
