CREDIT CONTROL MANAGER
Role:
Functions:
-
Develop, implement, and maintain credit control systems and procedures
-
Supervise and manage credit control staff in the efficient and timely collection of trade debt
-
Ensure the completeness and currency of credit control records including customer data
-
Supervise the maintenance and control of appropriate customer credit facilities including review of Credit Applications for submission to Board of Management for approval
-
Liaise with Corporate Lawyers for collection of delinquent debts and maintenance of legal files
-
Promote a high level of service for operational management including timely resolution of enquiries and scheduling of regular debtors meetings
-
Motivate, train and discipline staff
-
Ad hoc duties, reports and investigations as required
Attributes:
-
High level of experience in computerized credit control, administration and accounting systems and able to assist in the implementation of systems and procedures
-
Knowledge of detailed credit control procedures in a wholesale and retail environment
-
Familiar with the workflow process for Accounts Receivable functions
-
Willingness to intervene at a detailed transactional level where necessary
-
An ability to gather, analyze and evaluate facts and to prepare and present concise oral and written reports
-
Certified Public Accountant or similar qualification recognized by PNGCPA
-
A high level of communication skills are essential
